Custom Guidelines

Following the below guidelines when requesting standard custom on a proposal will help your order flow through the Burke internal system more efficiently, prevent delays and items being backordered at your expense.


** ONLY ASK FOR CUSTOM IF YOU KNOW YOU NEED CUSTOM


Select and use existing panels from the Inspiration Tool 

  • ‘Favorite’ them for easy access

  • This will be the quickest to process at time of order
  • When using panels from the Inspiration tool in the Play Portal, please indicate the part number(s) of the artwork you are referencing (ie. 060-5603-0037, 060-5603-0013)


Get artwork pre-approved before entering your order

  • Communicate what your customer wants for custom artwork when you enter the order. 
    Examples: 
    • I already worked with Design to create the artwork - upload the image(s)
    • Same artwork as a previous Order (give order # and 060 # if available)
    • Artwork from Inspiration Tool on Play Portal (list #’s referenced)


Indicate if exact artwork has been used on previous orders or if you will be ordering multiple items with the same artwork. 

Examples:

  • Multiple welcome signs for different parks that will all be the exact same artwork
  • Multiple signs in the same park with the same exact artwork
  • Same sign as previous Order (give as much info as possible-part #, order #, proposal # and/or name of project)
